Performance motorsports has signed a long-term lease at the Gold and Country Coast’s Gold Coast International Airport.
The lease includes the installation of an elite performance motorports performance training centre at the airport, as well as training on airfield equipment and equipment management.
The new facility will be part of the Golds and Countrys Coast International Airports.
The facility will also house performance motoring schools for aspiring and current elite performance motorsport racers.
“It is great to see the Gold Countrys performance motorways become a world class airport and we are extremely excited to have the Gold’s and Country’s performance motorway become a key part of our national performance motorcross heritage,” Performance motorsport Director Mike Coyle said.
“We are confident that the GoldCountrys performance motorsports network will become a strong pillar of our global performance motorsport network.”
The airport will also host the inaugural National Performance Motorcross Championships.
The event is a race series which takes place at the World Championship circuit, at the Sydney Airport and the Goldfields.
This year’s event will be the inaugural World Championship.
The airport has been hosting the World Championships since 2012.
“This is an exciting milestone for our business and a real boost to the GoldSport network,” Mr Coyle added.
“I would like to thank the Goldshire County Council, the Regional Transport Authority, the Airport Authority and the Commonwealth Government for their support over the years.”
Our lease at GoldSox will provide the infrastructure to support this important event and we will be able to continue to deliver high-quality, top-of-class facilities for our customers.
