Mopars performance parts and performance ford have announced the creation of a new line of engines.
The new engines will come to dealers in the US for $12,500.
They are powered by an EcoBoost petrol-electric hybrid system, which is paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
The engine will also be fitted with a turbocharger, which produces an impressive 951bhp and 762lb ft of torque.
Performance parts have said the new engines are the first in their line of ‘Supercharger’ engines.
They have also said that they will be able to offer the engines at lower prices than their rivals, due to the lower price of oil and other components.
We’ve been working on some supercharged power for some time now, and this new Supercharged engine is going to give us the power to match the performance of the competition at the same price point, according to Scott Smith, VP of Engineering at Mopared Parts.
“We are thrilled to be able bring the Supercharger to dealers,” he said.
“As the industry continues to evolve, this new supercharged platform is going from strength to strength, which makes it a perfect fit for our existing and emerging markets.”
This Superchargers platform will help fuel our global business and make the Moparon brand one of the hottest in the business today.
“The new SuperchargER engines will also come with an array of standard safety features, including a side-impact warning system, an anti-lock braking system, a collision warning system and an airbag.
The company has also introduced an upgraded version of the engine to the UK, which will be offered with a three-speed automatic transmission.
The announcement came after the company revealed that it had successfully raised $2.5bn in new funding.
