By Kate BrowningThe new Audi A3 is on the verge of entering the Australian market with a $5,000 price tag.
The A3 was revealed to the public last week and is the first car to be priced from $10 000 to $50 000.
The price is for a two-door, four-door sedan.
In Australia, Audi Australia has said the A3 will be available from March this year and that it will be offered at “a range of price points”.
There is no pricing information available for the A4 but the company has confirmed the price will be $500 per month for a three-year car lease.
The new A3 has a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 605kW and 489Nm of torque.
The price is $5 000 per month, with the lease term for the 3-year lease ending in the fourth quarter of 2018.
In a statement on its website, Audi said it is a car designed to give customers the freedom to do what they want with the car.
“The A4 is a unique, exciting product that offers the driver a choice between luxury and practicality,” the statement said.
“It has an amazing blend of driving pleasure, convenience, and technology.”
There is a $3,500 deposit required for the new A4.
