Cummins has confirmed it is working on a two-wheeled truck to offer customers a choice of the two- or three-wheel-drive configurations of its Cummins Diesel engines.
The new diesel truck will be offered with the Cummins DMR (diesel motor) diesel engines, which are the first two- and three-wheels engines to be introduced in the Cummin engine family, in India, Cummins said in a statement.
The two-tonne truck will have a range of 0-80 kmph in less than six seconds.
The two- wheel-drive diesel engines will have power of 800hp and 400kg-tonnes of fuel capacity, it added.
The diesel truck is expected to have a fuel capacity of 200,000 litres per day.
The Cummins diesel truck, which is also the second truck from Cummins, will be available in the first half of 2019 and the first truck to come in 2020, it said.
Cummins, a unit of Cummins Group, has already announced a truck from its DMR diesel engine family and the Cummis diesel engine range.
