The most famous actors and actresses from around the world are all performing in the most prestigious film festivals around the globe, but some of the most talented performers have chosen not to attend.
Here are seven artists who have opted to take the easy way out, choosing not to make their shows available to the public.1.
Angelina Jolie, Angelina, Jolie (2007)A lot of actors who have come out as gay have been forced to drop out of film festivals for fear of the backlash.
Jolie’s decision to stay in her home country of Italy rather than perform at the world premiere of The King of Queens was a turning point for the LGBT community.
The movie was nominated for best picture at the 2007 Oscars and earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
Jolies performance in The King Of Queens earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
It is unclear if Jolie will return to Italy next year for a festival appearance.2.
Ellen Page, The Ellen Page Show (2006)A controversial choice for one of the highest-profile female stars in the business, Ellen Page announced in May that she would be taking a break from her career in 2017 to perform as a solo artist.
She announced her plans for a solo project in March of this year, but the film adaptation of her best-selling autobiography, The Beauty Myth, is still a year away.
Page said she is not interested in continuing her work on The Ellen Show, but she hopes to return to performing as soon as possible.3.
J.K. Simmons, The King Kong Movie (1984)After being nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the 1984 sequel to King Kong, Simmons opted to go the other direction.
The star turned actor was nominated in an Oscar for his portrayal of the character, but he has yet to make a movie appearance since.
His return to the stage was confirmed by a video clip released in January that showed Simmons and his wife, actress Susan Sarandon, performing at the Venice Film Festival.4.

S.A.T.O.M. (1998)Hasselhoff was the first actor to come out of the closet when he appeared in The Great Gatsby in 1998.
Since then, the actor has remained a controversial figure in the gay community and was once accused of being a pedophile.
He has since spoken out about his sexual orientation, but has not publicly admitted to having had any sexual relationships with people of any gender.5.
Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (2007)–Radcliffe’s parents also played the part in the movie, which was a big hit at the box office.
The cast and crew were so impressed with the film, that the studio had the casting directors contact the actor’s parents to ask them to participate.
Radcliffe said he had to decline because he did not want to be cast as a boy in a movie that he was already a boy.
He said that he wanted to be a boy because he wanted a “good role model.”6.
David Oyelowo, Harry and Kate (2011)–Oyelowowo and his family were the stars of the popular British musical Harry and Katie.
The musical received more than $1 billion at the British box office and grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide.
The film starred Kate Winslet, who plays the lead character, Kate Winslett, as a young girl who is bullied by her classmates.
After the film’s release, Oyelwos parents were asked by the press to join him for an interview and, according to a report, they declined.7.
Angelica Huston, The Wedding Singer (2012)Huston was cast as the lead in a romantic comedy that was also nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award.
But Huston and the cast of The Wedding Artist were not able to attend the ceremony.
Huston was forced to cancel her appearance at the Golden Globes ceremony because she had been suffering from an infection.
Her parents, who were also on the show, also had to cancel their appearance because of the illness.8.
Justin Bieber, Purpose (2011)Bieber’s parents, Justin and Anitta, were on the other side of the globe when he announced he was gay in February.
Justin and his parents, along with Justin’s mother, Anitta’s husband, were forced to leave a concert when the pop star refused to perform.
However, Justin’s father, Justin, said that the family’s reaction to the announcement of his sexuality is nothing compared to the response of his son, Justin Bieber.9.
Ben Affleck, Batman (2012)–The Batman actor is known for his performance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
He was also the lead of a movie, Batman: The Killing Joke, and he is known to be gay.
Affleck has yet come out publicly, but his parents and his mother, who are gay, did
